Cut $880B in healthcare, but give a tax break on gun silencers? Really?

Check out this week’s CAD. It’s all about Trump’s “Big Bill of Betrayal”

No, you don’t get to sneak this in through the back door.
They want secrecy.
We want honesty.
They want to sneak things through in the dead of night.
We want the light of day.
They think: If we jam pack the reconciliation bill with SO MANY boobie traps, hopefully “The People” won’t find them all … or they won’t be able to respond to them all … or they will be SO overwhelmed that they won’t even try!
We think: Fat chance, Sucker.
The CAD (the Coordinated Action Dispatch), with the help of Indivisible and 5 Calls found 12 nasty little secrets in Trump’s Big Bill of Betrayal. They call them the “Dirty Dozen.”
We hope you’ll read about ALL 12 of them, and take action on at least the top 3 … or who knows … maybe all 12!
Let’s get to work!

About the CAD Weekly Action Dispatch:
The CAD (Coordinated Action Dispatch) Team is an Action Team of Indivisible Massachusetts Coalition.
Each week, the CAD Team receives suggested actions from a wide range of activists through its CAD Team Action Submission Form, and works with legislative experts, including the ACLU, Common Cause, Progressive Mass and MIRA (Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition) to vet and prioritize a short list of actions for the week. These are sent to dozens of newsletter editors (who publish the actions in their local newsletters) and individuals each Wednesday through this, the “CAD Weekly Action Dispatch.”
Please consider distributing (and doing!) these priority CAD actions this week, so we can multiply our power and increase our impact! All actions can be done either by individuals or groups. SUBSCRIBE TO THE CAD

Here’s how to Stop H.R.1, Trump’s “One Big Bill of Betrayal”
The House has passed H.R.1 Reconciliation Bill (the bill Trump calls his “One Big Beautiful Bill”) and now it’s in the Senate. This big bill is a Trojan Horse stuffed with big cruelty, big billionaire tax cuts, big deficits and big constitutional conflicts. We need to raise the alarm before it gets any further.
We identified 12 dangerous provisions in this bill — we call them the Dirty Dozen — that will gut public services and strip basic rights from millions of us. We’re asking you to focus on the top 3 first, and then, if you’ve got more time/energy, hit the rest.
Here’s how to Stop the Cuts in H.R.1 - Phone bank every Wednesday and Thursday in June to call voters in ME, NC, OH & UT - These phone banks are sponsored by Indivisible. After you attend a phone bank training session, you will call voters, give them information about H.R. 1, and then connect them directly to their Republican Senator’s office so they can urge their Senator to oppose the bill.
