Yesterday was a GREAT day for American democracy!

Wisconsin voters showed up to elect Susan Crawford as their new Supreme Court Justice, in a tart rebuke of Elon Musk! Thanks to all the Freedom Writers who wrote postcards to Wisconsin!

Florida voters showed up to cut MAGA’s winning margin in half! Thanks to all the Freedom Writers who wrote postcards to Florida!
And Cory Booker stood strong in his 25+ hour speech breaking Strom Thurman’s record for the longest speech in Congress.

CAD Team Weekly Action Dispatch - April 2, 2025
Each week, the CAD receives suggested actions from a wide range of activists through the CAD Team Action Submission Form, and it works with legislative experts, including the ACLU, Common Cause, and MIRA (Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition) to vet and prioritize a short list of actions for the week.
Please consider doing these priority CAD actions before you do other actions this week, so we can multiply our power and increase our impact! All actions can be done either by individuals or groups.
NOTE: If you read our last 2 dispatches, you know that EVERYONE’S top priority is — of course – April 5th!
April 5th is rapidly approaching, and Hand's Off Boston is shaping up to be a BIG event. Event organizers are asking for folks to RSVP if they are planning to attend. Having a more accurate attendance count will allow them to prepare for crowd size with regard to safety (marshals, peacekeepers, medics, security) and comfort (portable bathrooms, calming spaces etc).
