The CAD is the Thing
Yesterday, another CAD came out with a powerful list of National and Massachusetts actions we can take …please read it all the way through and do all the actions in it. This is how we wield our power. It’s not an accident that the Trump regime is getting thwarted every time it tries to do something unconstitutional. It’s because WE are stopping it. But WE need to KEEP stopping it by taking these actions!
Think of those who fought against the tyranny of kings in the Revolutionary War. Think of those who laid their lives on the line in the Civil War to end slavery. Think of the brave soldiers who fought against the Nazis in the WW II. Our generation is being called into action to stand up and fight in the age-old battle of good vs evil, and we must win!
We may be tired. We may be weary. But, we have to keep on, keeping on. Because — bottom line — we DON’T want to the be the first generation in the History of the United States to lose our democracy. We have to act now.

CAD Team Weekly Action Dispatch - May 14, 2025
Each week, the CAD receives suggested actions from a wide range of activists through the CAD Team Action Submission Form, and works with legislative experts, including the ACLU, Common Cause, Progressive Mass and MIRA (Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition) to vet and prioritize a short list of actions for the week.
Please consider doing these priority CAD actions before you do other actions this week, so we can multiply our power and increase our impact! All actions can be done either by individuals or groups.

National - Make Your Voice Heard on the ‘No Kings’ June 14th Day of Action - Whether you’ve been attending protests all your life, or have never attended one before, join us on June 14th to make our voices heard: No Kings! This action sheet shows you how.
National - Here’s how to Stop the Reconciliation Bill that No One Voted For(with 3 calls at a time over the next few days)- If you care about protecting Medicare/Medicaid, SNAP, Social Security, Veteran’s Benefits, and our Public Lands take action now, because they are all being threatened by the GOP’s giant Reconciliation Bill. The votes will happen soon, so start taking action today! This action sheet shows you how.

Longmeadow - Every Friday, 4 pm until 6 pm - Join Stephan Platzer for his "Stand Up Against Violence" stand out in Longmeadow, MA at the north corner of Longmeadow Street and Western Drive. This stand out is in support of reducing all forms of violence (gun, domestic, global such as in Ukraine and all over the world). Please check with Stephan if your sign is appropriate. Longmeadow - 3rd and 5th (when there is one) Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:30 - LARC standouts have now become LARC-LDTC standouts at the corners of Longmeadow Street and Western Drive. Women of "Defending Democracy in Hampden County" will be there as well. Citizens not affiliated with these three groups are encouraged to attend.
