There’s a lot coming at us right now, so if you’re feeling like you just want to hide under your bed for a little while … you’re not alone.

… but, while I’m right there with you (under my bed), the one thing that has kept coming up for me this past week was the powerful email that Indivisible co-founder, Ezra Levin sent about ICE on 7/7/25.

In it, he says of all the yucky-ucky no good things hidden in Trump’s Big Bill of Betrayal, the one that we would see the soonest is ICE’s giant leap of funding. The BBB ballooned ICS’s annual budget to $37.5 billion, thereby making it the largest federal law enforcement agency in the history of our republic.

“They want to take the terror and militarization that they brought to Los Angeles and do the same thing in communities around the country.”

The Trump administration has begun hiring 10,000 goons for Kristi Noem and Tom Homan and has started building 100,000 new detention beds in mega- detention camps around the country.

Remember, before the election, when Trump promised to deport a million people, and the nay-sayers said, “Impossible! ICE doesn’t have the funding to do that.”

Yeah, well … here we are.

But what can we do?

3 things to start:

• Call your congress people (see Action 1 below)

• Get others to call their congress people (see Action 2 below)

• Meet this historical moment with historical resistance (see Action 3 below)

So, yes. We have to come out from under our beds. Our country needs us. Please join us so we can take on these threats together.
