The Good News … Jimmy Kimmel is back, and the whole world is watching.
As you’ve probably heard (because the whole world is watching!), on Tuesday night, Jimmy Kimmel had his largest television audience in more than a decade, according to an ABC announcment on Wednesday.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” netted more than 6 million viewers on linear broadcast this week, according to Nielsen Media Research data, despite the show being preempted in what the network said was more than 20 percent of households nationwide.
Those figures do not include the more than 20 million views his opening monologue racked up on YouTube, or clips of his show that went viral on social media.
Meanwhile, Trump is trying to convince anyone who will listen that his own ratings are not slipping, when they are … they REALLY are.
Just 37% of U.S. adults approve of Trump’s handling of the economy. That is down slightly from August, when 43% approved, but broadly in line with his overall approval.
And Trump is slipping like crazy with younger voters, who voted for him because they believed he would lower the price of consumer goods … like eggs.

The Great News … The Dems are starting to win again (finally)
In Arizona’s 7th Congressional District (September 23, 2025), Democrat Adelita Grijalva won the special election to fill the seat left vacant by her late father, Raúl Grijalva. She defeated Republican Daniel Butierez with 70.6% of the vote. Grijalva’s win means that enough Democrats and Republicans will be able to force a vote on the House floor over the Justice Department’s release of Jeffrey Epstein files … if they have the spine, that is. We’re watch this one carefully.
In Virginia’s 11th Congressional District (September 9, 2025), Democrat James Walkinshaw won a special election for the seat vacated by the death of Gerry Connolly. Walkinshaw won by 50 points, outperforming the Democratic performance in the district in 2024.
In the Wisconsin Supreme Court (April 1, 2025), Judge Susan M. Crawford defeated Judge Brad Schimel in the election for an open seat on the court, cementing a liberal majority. Many of us Freedom Writers wrote postcards for that race. Go Freedom Writers!
In a Georgia State Senate runoff (September 23, 2025), Democrat Debra Shigley, an attorney and businessowner, pulled off a major IMPROVEMENT in performance, but did not win the race. Democrats celebrated Shigley’s results because even though her opponent, Beach, won his seat by 62%, that was 8 points lower than his win the last time with 70%.
The tides appear to be turning … fingers crossed!

Take a look at these numbers coming out of VA! The Governor’s race is hot like tamales, and it’s looking for for Democratic candidate Spanberger in EVERY SINGLE poll.
Now all we have to do is get them out to vote!

Dr. Mark Downey differs from his Republican opponant, Chad Green, in 4 important areas:
Dr. Downey stands for lower healthcare costs
He wants to repeal the car tax
He supports reproductive freedom
And he will work to protect Virginia’s water and woods
