Awww. That’s too bad! … And it’s caused a little social media hurricane for her all day today. My favorite quote from the swirling din was this one (from the article, “After Muscling Their Bill Through the House, Some Republicans Have Regrets” - NYT)
Better yet … if she had only read our Freedomw Writers post on 5/17 (published 5 DAYS BEFORE THE VOTE) she would have known all about that pesky AI clause!

About the CAD Weekly Action Dispatch:
The CAD (Coordinated Action Dispatch) Team is an Action Team of Indivisible Massachusetts Coalition.
Each week, the CAD Team receives suggested actions from a wide range of activists through its CAD Team Action Submission Form, and works with legislative experts (the Indivisible, ACLU, Common Cause, Progressive Mass and MIRA) to vet and prioritize a short list of actions for the week. These are sent to dozens of newsletter editors (who publish the actions in their local newsletters) and individuals each Wednesday through this, the “CAD Weekly Action Dispatch.”
Please consider distributing these priority CAD actions to your group(s) each week, so we can multiply our power and increase our impact! All actions can be done either by either individuals or groups.

Here’s How to Stop the Medicaid Cuts in the “Big Bill of Betrayal” - Call voters in Red States and Patch them through to their Senators - You may recognize this action from last week. It’s back for a 2nd week because THIS IS THE MOST IMPACTFUL thing we can do! Even if you’re allergic to phone banks, please make an exception, just this one time. After you attend the phone bank training, you will call voters in critical red states, give them information about H.R. 1, and then connect them directly to their GOP Senator’s office so they can urge their Senator to oppose the bill. Here’s How to join the NO KINGS National Day of Mass Actions on June 14th! - Trump has defied our courts, disappeared people off our streets, attacked our civil rights, and slashed our services. The corruption has gone too far! Join us for one of the “No Kings Day” mass actions on June 14th. Click on the link at the beginning of this paragraph for more info.
Here’s How to Stop the GOP from Restricting our Right to Vote (aka, How to Stop the so-called ‘SAVE Act’!) - The SAVE Act is Trump’s attempt to restrict who gets to vote. This bill will make it harder for millions to cast a ballot, be heard, and hold their elected officials accountable. Anyone whose birth certificate is either hard to find or differs in any way from their current ID could be stopped from voting. That’s a LOT of people! I’ve been very impressed with what the Center for American Progress has been offering lately. They are a “think tank” who is thinking about our future. Instead of concentrating on “dumpster-fire-du-jour” topics like Trump wants us to focus on, they think about the future and on what Dems should be offering as alternatives. I say, “Bravo!”
