Keep your eye on the BUDGET in Trump’s Shell Game
Donald Trump wants our children to be dumb, dumb, dumb!
… Because dumb voters are easier to manipulate than educated ones. Education is – in fact – a critical foundation for democracy. Without it, “We the People” either don’t vote at all, or we vote for bad actors. Without it, we can easily get duped into voting for someone who will ruin our economy, arrest us without due process, steal our hard earned benefits (Social Security, Veteran’s Benefits and Medicaid), and give all our money to oligarchs.
Ooops! Sound familiar?
So, here’s the deal: This week has been one big distracting shell game. On top of a teetering stock market, a public auction of worthless meme coins to (foreign) oligarchs for face time with the President, and Trump’s feeble attempt to cast ActBlue as being subject to foreign influence (that’s rich!), yesterday, … Trump released his “budget guidance.”
One of the things it calls for is the elimination of Project Head Start and Early Childhood Education. This ugly plan has been part of ‘Project 2025,’ his Roadmap to Oligarchy, from the beginning.
NOW is the time to act:
The Trump administration’s budget guidance is just that—guidance. It is not yet law. Now is the time to pressure your members of Congress to reject Trump’s Project 2025-driven agenda and protect access to high-quality early childhood education for all. - 5 Calls
It will take you 5-10 minutes to call your Members of Congress (see the action below).
Let me repeat that: 5-10 minutes. Now is the time. Today.
And that’s just one of the several actions you can take TODAY to fight back against Trump’s budget guidance and Project 2025 (below).
So, yes, it’s important to be informed. But if all you’re doing is scrolling instead of calling your Members of Congress, or writing postcards to people so they’ll call their Members of Congress, or getting out on the streets, you’re not doing what your country needs you to do right now.
Join us in the fight to save our democracy. Because when we fight, we win! And so do our children … and our children’s children … and their children.
