No one said fighting tyranny was going to be easy!
Yes, we’re all tired, and yes it would be nice to take a day off, and let’s do that, but then … as soon as we’re rested, let’s get back to it, because we have a democracy to save.
First and foremost, please make your plans now for June 14th, No Kings Day. (See links in the Actions > > > section below.)
If you’re new to participating in protests, welcome! Please consider participating in these peaceful protests because they have been proven by research to be highly effective, especially when at least 3.5% of the population goes to them! We need you to make that 3.5%!
Also, as we’ve discussed in this Substack before, in addition to forming our all important small action groups, we’ll need to do three things simultaneously:
Protest in the streets … If you’re new to participating in protests, welcome! Please read about this powerful research that has proven that countries where 3.5% participate in PEACEFUL demonstrations, they can topple totalitarian governments. So, please make your plans for June 14th first, before you do the other actions below.
Pressure Elected Officials and Other Decision Makers to HOLD the LINE (See today’s Contact your Elected Officials actions below)
Write / Call / Educate Voters (Please share this post wide and far!)
Action really IS the antidote to despair.
And YOU really ARE the antidote to tyranny.
Let’s get to it!

June 14th is No Kings Day. Be there or be square.
There are actions happening all across the country on June 14th. Why June 14th? Many reasons. First, it’s Trump’s birthday and — of course — he wants a military parade in DC complete with a legion of tanks. Yck.
So, we’re holding “No Kings” protests EVERYWHERE OTHER than DC.
Also, June 14th is celebrated in many places with annual Pride Day parades. Love it! So go to this website to find an event near you and make your plans!
