Because here’s the BIG news:
In 42 state legislative and U.S. congressional races across 18 states in 2025, Democrats have improved their margins by an average of more than 15% over the gap between Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris in the same districts last year, according to data collected by the political website The Downballot. The Democratic nominee has outdistanced Harris in all but six of those contests, including in deeply conservative areas.
Even though it may SEEM like our actions are not making a big difference, they are. We’re getting results, so stay true to the course! You can start with taking the 4 actions below.
Signs of Fascism - 18 signs to hold at standouts and protests, Burma-Shave style!
In preparation for the No Kings events last Saturday, the Freedom Writers collaborated with Ellen Schwartz (Springfield based postcarder extraordinaire) to create 5 sets of “Signs of Fascism” signs — 18 lawn-sign-quality signs for 18 people to hold as cars drive by … Burma-Shave style!
They were so well received that we’ve ordered 10 more sets. But these sets are a bit pricy to make ($150 / set). So … in the spirit of the Freedom Writers tradition,

All eyes are on Virginia, where one of the most consequential elections of 2025 will be taking place this November. We have the opportunity to help flip Virginia’s Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General from red to blue AND improve the Democratic majority in the Virginia House of Delegates, but we need YOUR help to do it!
As we tumble headlong into the Trump Dictatorship, the imperative for courageous resistance only increases. Your country needs you to STAND UP and SHOW UP NOW to protect our democracy for future generations and build a more moral society.
