Today has been QUITE A DAY in the good ol’ USA!
- While the clock ticks closer to “shut down time” (midnight Tuesday night) Trump shows no interest in protecting Americans’ healthcare …
- Mike Johnson, our Speaker of the House, thwarted justice and single handedly delayed the release of the Epstien files by refusing to swear in Adelita Grijalva, the AZ Democrat who won her election by 40 points, because with her, a bi-partisan group of House Reps can force the Epstein vote to the floor …
- And then there’s the economy …
“A shutdown will also very likely delay the collection and release of some key economic data – including Friday’s jobs report and monthly readings on inflation. That could force CEOs, investors and even Federal Reserve officials to fly blind when making key decisions.”
CNN - Government shutdowns usually don’t hurt the economy. This time could be different
Also today:
Trump sided with Netanyahu to jam a 20-point proposal to end the war in Gaza down the throats of the Palestinians,
The Daily Beast reported that the Michigan Mormon Church shooter was a Trump supporter,
and Trump began the process of sending armed, masked, thugs in military uniforms to Chicago, Portland and Memphis.
But the thing that REALLY caught my eye was this …
Tomorrow, Trump and Hegseth are holding a meeting in DC with the top 800 high ranking US senior commanders.
Meaning, they have ordered these leaders to leave their posts around the world, travel to DC (at tax-payer expense), and sit through an hours-long talk by Trump, for the purpose of … wait for it …
“Getting the horses into the stable and whipping them into shape.”
At first, Hegseth claimed the meeting would be about the four elements of the Warrior Ethos … but, as anyone who has ever served knows, our troops know the Warrior Ethos far better than Hegseth and Trump ever will.
Later, the comment about the horses leaked out. Even though the horse plan may be CLOSER to the truth, it still doesn’t explain why it has to be in person instead of remote. Why is Trump spending millions of tax-payer money on travel and jeopardizing our security by bringing all of the tip brass (including Trump) into the same room?
What’s REALLY going to happen tomorrow?
A test of their ability to keep a straight face while enduring several hours of Trump’s ramblings?
A videoed oath sharing ceremony that will be used to blackmail/control each of them in the future?
… Or, heaven forbid, a gas chamber?
These questions will all be answered tomorrow, so …

The Freedom Writers are partnering **AGAIN** with Reclaim Our Vote (aka, “The Purple Postcard People”) to urge MORE Black voters to vote on (or before) Nov 4th … this time from Hampton, VA.

After picking these postcards up on 10/12/25, please plan to mail them on or before October 20th.
WARNING: If you’d like us to mail your packets to you, we will mail them on Fri, 10/11, so you should receive them no later than Thursday, 10/16 (1 day more than usual due to Columbus Day) which will only give you 4 days to write them.
THE POSTCARD PACKETS:
20 Postcards - $15.00 - Each packet should take about 90 min to do.
Materials in Packet:
20 postcards
20 Postcard Stamps ($0.56 each)
1 instruction sheet with script and sample
1 sheet with 20 names/addresses
20 Stickers to go in the center of the postcard with information about early voting.
