GOP Reps from states where Bernie and AOC have held their “Fight the Oligarchy” rallies are telling their GOP House leadership this: “We don’t know if we can vote for medicaid cuts now.”
That means when we go there, when we write postcards there, when we teach them how to call their elected officials, it actually works!
What can you do? Take some time off from scrolling, and make time for actions that will really make a difference. Read the “Today’s Actions” section below!
The fate of our beautiful democracy is in our hands. We all have to make it a habit to TAKE. ACTION. EVERY. DAY.

Today’s Actions - Postcards, Standouts, 5 Calls and Action Groups
Postcards to Arizona - Order Your Postcard Packets for the Freedom Writers 4/27 Distribution HERE
We are writing postcards to voters who are Democrats or independents and likely to lean liberal or progressive, and who are newly registered or relatively frequent voters.
We’re telling them that their Republican Member of Congress voted for a budget that would cut Medicaid and decrease taxes on billionaires, and (like Bernie and AOC) we’re asking them to call Congressman Schweikert's office. For the voters who make those phone calls, it has a big impact on their Congresspeople. Recent surveys show many people are willing to speak up if asked but are not sure how. These postcards provide an easy way for people to get started.
Standouts - To get information on standouts and protests in your area, do this:
1. Go to https://www.mobilize.us/
2. Click the "Filters" button
3. Set Type = “Visibility Events”
4. Set Near = [Your Zip Code]
5. Scroll down and click "Apply Filters"
5 Calls - 5 Calls is a simple app to help you make phone calls to your own elected officials. Even if you like in a Blue State, these phone calls are extremely effective.
If you haven’t loaded the 5 Calls app to your phone yet, here’s a great info sheet to help you. It was written by 3 people who are all over 70, so if they can do it, you can do it!
When you get there, look for the Top Priority 5 Calls Action: “Bring Abrego Garcia Home and Stop Trump’s Plan to Traffic Civilians to a Foreign Gulag”
Then, do all the other actions there that you haven’t done yet.
Action Groups - Action groups are the back bone that makes all of this happen. If you’re not in an action group yet, read this info sheet on how to get started.
